Lieutenant Governor of Ontario Kicks Off Port Hope Arts Festival

The Hon. Elizabeth Dowdeswell, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario visited Port Hope on Saturday, August 13 2022 to kick off the festivities of the Port Hope Arts Festival.

Joined by Mayor Bob Sanderson, Dowdeswell welcomed people to the Festival then toured a number of booths and strolled over to the Port Hope Farmer’s Market.

Platinum Jubilee commemorative cookies and tree saplings will be available to the public free of charge courtesy of the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Ontario.

There were lots of activities taking place during the festival including 10-minute plays at various locations.
