Update – OPP Forensic Officers Continue Documenting Scene of Homicide in Cobourg

The OPP Forensic Identification Unit has processed the outside scene of a murder in downtown Cobourg on Monday, June 27, 2022.

Police tape along with officers are now guarding the front and back entrance to the Jamaican Patty House located at 12 King Street East, just east of Division Street.

One person was killed around 10 a.m. after it’s believed he was shot after two men were seen leaving the store and getting into a black Lexus and were last seen heading north on Division Street.

King Street East, east of Division Street to McGill Street was closed for most of the day, but re-opened around 8 p.m.

OPP Forensic officer had been documenting the outside of the scene and will be back on Tuesday to continue documenting the scene from inside.
