Cobourg – Declaration of Surplus Land

Take Notice that pursuant to the Corporation of the Town of Cobourg By-law No.013-2008 being a By-law to Establish the Procedures for the Sale of Land by the Corporation of the Town of Cobourg, Council had enacted a By-law pursuant to the Municipal Act, 2001, Chapter 25. to declare lands surplus to the Municipality’s needs.

On Monday May 16, 2022, the Council for the Town of Cobourg passed By-law No.027-2022 being a By-law to declare the land described as 604 Daintry Crescent, Cobourg as surplus to the needs of the Town of Cobourg and to offer the Property for Sale.

Subject Property:
Parts 36 and 37 of Plan 39R3373, known municipally as 604 Daintry Crescent, in the Town of Cobourg, Northumberland County.

And Further Take Notice that Council intends to dispose of the municipally owned property and Municipal Council shall hear any person who wishes to comment on the surplus declaration and sale of property; such person may do so by:

a) Appearing before Council virtually or in-person at a Council Meeting by contacting the Municipal Clerk; and/or

b) Delivering such comment in writing to the Municipal Clerk of the Town of Cobourg to appear on a Council meeting agenda.
