It’s the start of the sailing season.

A total of 54-sailboats were lifted into Cobourg Harbour on Saturday, May 14, 2022.

Cobourg Yacht Club members and and Marina staff worked jointly for the process that was not only Yacht Club boat owners, but others who owned sailboats took part in the lift. From 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. the boats were lifted into the water with the help of a crane.

The cradles will in the parking but will be removed early next week.

Organizers said it was a seamless process and appreciate the support and understanding of the public. The area was taped off due to insurance reasons.
