Grafton Christmas Market Shows The True Spirit of a Small Town Community

In Community, Local

The Grafton Christmas Market was a huge success over the weekend.

Event sponsor Jacqueline Pennington said it was the forth time the event was held, but the first time they’ve held along Old Danforth Road on Saturday, December 4, 2021.

“This has been the biggest year so far because it’s been a beautiful partnership between all of the local businesses, the two schools, the church and the municipality.”

Pennington said that even before the event was over some of the vendors were packing up because they were sold out.

“Definitely what we’ve been hearing from everyone is that they needed this. They needed that feeling of some extra Christmas spirit and just getting out and feeling more normalcy in the community.”

Along with the vendors market, there was a tractor parade, fun zone and photos with Santa.

“It is the true nature of a small town village community market fair.”
