Peterborough County OPP – Fatal Collision Closes Northbound Lanes of Highway 115

CLOSED AT TAPLEY ¼ LINE

(CAVAN-MONAGHAN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews are currently on scene at a collision which occurred at approximately 4:00am this morning on Highway 115 near County Road 10.

A passenger vehicle was travelling northbound on Highway 115 when it left the roadway for unknown reasons. Four occupants were in the vehicle at the time of the collision. One victim has been pronounced deceased. Three victims were transported to a local hospital with serious injuries.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. The northbound lanes of Highway 115 remain closed while members trained in collision reconstruction measure and document the scene. Detours are in place at Tapley ¼ Line.
