City of Kawartha Lakes OPP – Incidents Including Stunt Driving, Impaired and Weapons Charges

Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are committed to serving our province by protecting its’ citizens, upholding the law and preserving public safety.

On October 26, 2021 at approximately 10:23 a.m. on Kirkfield Road, in Eldon Township, officers stopped a commercial motor vehicle which was traveling 100 km/h in a 50km/h zone. The driver was charged with stunt driving and is scheduled to appear at the Lindsay Provincial Offences court at a later date.

On October 29, 2021 shortly befo re 9:30 p.m. on Highway 35 in OPS Township, officers stopped a motor vehicle for speeding. Further investigation revealed the driver to be impaired by alcohol.

As a result Carter PASCOE, 19 years-of-age, of Bethany has been charged with:

  • Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration (80 plus)
  • Speeding
  • Novice driver – B.A.C. above zero

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on November 18, 2021.

On November 2, 2021 at approximately 1:45 a.m., on County Road 8 in Fenelon Township, an investigation lead to weapons and drug charges. As a result Zachary BRADBURY, 25 years-of-age, of Cameron has been charged with:

  •    Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
  •    Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Opioid

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Lindsay on November 25, 2021.
