Field trips, sports teams – to the list of wonderful opportunities local secondary school students can enjoy again, add the Rotary Youth Exchange Program.

Over the years, young people from local high schools have had the chance to enjoy living with host families in a variety of countries in Europe, Asia, South America and even Down Under. They come back with a new self-confidence, a wealth of experiences to share, and fond memories that last a lifetime.

Alison Lester is delighted to announce that the program is a go for the 2022-2023 school year. And though that may seem like a distant prospect, Lester said, “we will be selecting students in the near future and wanted to be sure that any eligible student is aware that the program is proceeding.”

An eligible student is one who will be in Grade 10 or 11 during that particular 2022-2023 academic year.

If you are interested in learning more, Lester announces an on-line information session the evening of Tuesday, Oct. 26 where students and their parents can have their questions answered. If you would like more information about the program, or wish to attend the information session, e-mail alisonlester03@gmail.com.
