Northumberland OPP – Pedestrian Struck by Train

(CRAMAHE TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews responded to a collision on the train tracks near Colton Street that occurred at approximately 9:15pm last night.

A train collided with a pedestrian that was walking on the train tracks. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at scene. No other injuries were reported in the collision. The area was closed to vehicle and train traffic until 2:00am while police investigate d. 

The deceased has been transported to a hospital for a post mortem examination.

This incident remains under investigation.
