Unattended Burn Barrel Cause of Trailer Fire in Cobourg

Cobourg Fire Department responded to a transport fire on Friday, August 20, 2021.

At approximately 10 a.m. Cobourg Fire Department responded to a trailer fire on Danforth Road.

Black smoke could be seen from kilometres away as fire crews responded.

The fire was mainly contained to the tires of a trailer which was used for storage for a business.

Hamilton Township Fire Department was also called to the scene.

Cause of the fire was a unattended burn barrel.
