Cobourg Council – Celebrate Community Heroes

Mayor John Henderson invites you to the April 23 virtual Civic Awards ceremony at 7 p..m.

“We will honour volunteers in every major category, which is just terrific news,” Henderson said at this week’s council meeting.

And while they recognize some of the wonderful people who make a difference in the community, he added, make it a real celebration.

“We will be dressing up as a committee, so we hope you will join us, maybe have some refreshments at home and make this a gala.”

As for the annual Business Achievement Awards (offered in conjunction with the Northumberland Central Chamber of Commerce), Deputy Mayor Suzanne Seguin announced that they are cancelled for 2021 – after just barely making it under the wire to take place prior to the pandemic declaration in 2020.
