OPP Seize Over 800 Cannabis Plants on Property in Trent Hills

(TRENT HILLS, ON) – On September 1st 2020, at approximately 11:30 AM members of the Northumberland / Peterborough Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU) of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), with the assistance of Emergency response team (ERT) and Canine, executed a Cannabis Act Search Warrant at a rural property in the municipality of Trent Hills.

As a result of the Cannabis Act Search Warrants the following items were seized:

· 870 Cannabis Marihuana plants
· Pellet gun

Total street value of the seized cannabis is worth approximately $870,000.

Guangquan LIANG (age 38), Wanling LIANG (age 33) of Toronto were arrested and charged with:

· Cultivation, propagation and harvesting more than four plants at one time in a dwelling house

The two accused parties were released and are scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg on November 4th, 2020
