Vehicle Slams Into Porch in Cobourg

A driver is facing a charge of careless driving after a vehicle destroyed a front porch of a house in Cobourg on Monday, July 13, 2020.

At approximately 3:15 p.m. emergency services were called to 237 University Avenue West for a car that struck the front porch of a house.

The driver stated he was heading south on Ontario Street. When he turned left onto University Avenue West, he lost control of the vehicle, fish-tailed and struck the front porch of the home.

The driver wasn’t hurt in the collision and the porch suffered extensive damage.
