Peterborough County OPP – Stunt Drivers Charged

Vehicles Seized and Licences Suspended for 7 days
(CAVAN-MONAGHAN TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting radar patrol on Highway 115 yesterday afternoon. Shortly before 4:00 pm, an officer clocked a vehicle travelling at 158 km/h in a posted 100 km/h zone.

Randall MCCOMB (age 58) of Omemee, Ontario was charged with:

Stunt driving in relation to excessive speed

His driver’s licence was suspended for seven day and his vehicle was impounded.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on March 9, 2020.

 

(DOURO-DUMMER TOWNSHIP, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were conducting radar patrol on Highway 28 yesterday afternoon. Shortly before 5:00 pm, an officer clocked a vehicle travelling at 137 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.

Melanie POPOVSKI (age 19) of Markham, Ontario was charged with:

Stunt driving in relation to excessive speed

Her driver’s licence was suspended for seven day and her vehicle was impounded.

The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Peterborough on March 9, 2020.
