Candlelight Festival in Port Hope

The second annual Candlelight Festival took place in Port Hope on Friday, November 29, 2019.

Starting off with a illuminated procession down Walton Street to Memorial Park for the lighting of the park.

The Municipality of Port Hope partnering with Critical Mass Art and the Heritage Business Improvement Area (HBIA) the Candlelight Festival.

Walking with candles the group of approximately 700 people sang Christmas carols along the route before the countdown in Memorial Park.

The Outdoor Christmas Market was in full swing in Lent Lane, with immersive art installations, festive food and moonlight shopping to explore.

Formerly called The Candlelight Christmas Walk for 19 years, the event was lead by Karen O’Hara before becoming the Candlelight Festival.
