On Wednesday the 8th of May , 2019 at approximately 1220 hrs., officers of the Cobourg Police Service attended the Courthouse at 860 William St. where a male wished to turn himself in with relation to a domestic incident that had occurred earlier.
The male was arrested for Assault and Assault with a Weapon contrary to C.C.C. 266 and 267 respectively.
The male was transported to the Cobourg Police Service where he was placed in cells and later released on a Promise to Appear in Court as well as an Officer in Charge Undertaking with a court date of the 12th June 2019 .
The male’s name is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
