Habitat for Humanity Northumberland “Sunday Dinner” Fundraising Event Over 80% Sold Out!

In Upcoming Events

This Sunday April 28th Habitat for Humanity Northumberland is inviting the community to “Sunday Dinner” at the ReStore to help raise money to build local affordable housing. There is still room for people to buy tickets and come out to this fun, casual dining event right in the ReStore in Cobourg.

This is the first dinner fundraiser that Habitat Northumberland has hosted and it made sense for the location to be right in the ReStore! “Sunday Dinner” will start on Sunday April 28th at 5pm with Hors d’Oeuvres in the “living room” section of the store. The Hors d’Oeuvres menu is created by Kate Boothman and Katering Co. and generously sponsored by Schmidt Law Legal Services. Along with Hors d’Oeuvres Wes Galloway, National Brand Ambassador for Crystal Head Vodka will be serving a signature Habitat cocktail.

At 6pm guests will move to the “dining room” section of the ReStore where they will enjoy a classic Sunday night dinner, catered by Taylor’s Custom Meats. The dinner sponsors for “Sunday Dinner” are Part-Time CFO Services, IG Wealth Management, Young Mee Kim from Royal LePage ProAlliance Reality, and Lakeridge Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ltd. Guests will have the pleasure of being served dinner by student volunteers from Trinity College School while admiring floral centerpieces donated by Holton Flowers. During dinner guests will have the opportunity to enjoy wine sponsored by Meaghan Adams Legal Professional Corporation and Julie Parker from Royal Service Real Estate. Finally, Sunday Dinner isn’t complete without dessert. Burnham’s Family Farm Market will be generously providing delicious pies to round out the Sunday night dinner experience.

This event has also come together with support from Luke Despatie, Coffee Public Port Hope, Big Brothers & Big Sisters, the Cobourg Community Lions Centre, and the Baltimore Community Centre. All of the proceeds raised from this event will be used to purchase materials to build Habitat houses here in Northumberland County.

Limited tickets are still available and they are $100 per person. Anyone interested in joining this casual and fun event is encouraged to contact Melissa as soon as possible to avoid missing out. Call Melissa at 289-252-0999 ext. 29 or send her an email at http://volunteer@habitatnorthumberland.ca.
