Deputy Command Officer, Lt. Matt Slade said the Squadron heard Tim Hortons was looking for volunteers and contacted them to volunteers.

A number of Cadets helped out at Tim Hortons locations in Colborne and two locations in Cobourg (Division Street and William Street).

Slade said it’s the first year the Cadets have taken part in the Smile Cookie program, but will definitely be back next year.

Jen Shipton from Tim Hortons said it’s been an amazing year for volunteers helping out.

“They’ve come out – they’ve been fabulous.”

“It’s the most volunteers yet.”

Shipton said even customers coming in are asking if they can help out.

All proceeds this year are going to Big Sisters Big Brothers Northumberland.

Smile Cookies end on May 7 at Tim Hortons locations.
