Update On Fatal Collision In Cramahe Township – Northumberland OPP

(CRAMAHE TWP, ON) – On June 9, 2018 at approximately 3:00 a.m. the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (O.P.P), along with emergency personnel responded to a report of a single motor vehicle collision in Cramahe Township involving a white sedan.

Witnesses reported to police that a car had left the roadway and struck a tree on Jakobi road near Castleton.

The driver and lone occupant of the motor vehicle Jesse Watson, a 24 year old male of Castleton, Ontario was pronounced deceased at the scene. A Coroner attended and ordered a post mortem to be conducted in Kingston, ON.

OPP Traffic Collision Investigators (T.C.I) attended the scene to assist detachment officers with the investigation. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.

Jakobi road was closed to traffic for several hours. No other vehicles were involved.
