From the 14th day of May, 2018 through the 20th day of May, 2018 the Cobourg Police Service responded to __213__ occurrences including; 1 Robbery call, 27 Community Service calls, 19 Police Assistance calls, 6 Traffic Complaints, 6 Fraud calls, 6 Suspicious Person calls, 7 Police Information calls, 10 Property Related calls, 7 Assault calls, 2 Break and Enter Calls, 9 – 911 calls, 8 Theft calls, 5 Motor Vehicle Collisions, 8 Liquor License Act calls, 8 Alarm calls, 1 Stolen Vehicle call, 3 Harassment calls, 5 Disturb the Peace calls, 2 Threats calls, 2 Noise complaints, 1 Domestic Dispute call, 1 Family Dispute call, 1 Attempt or Threat of Suicide, 2 Mischief calls. Monday, May 14, 2018:
Police responded to a local business at approximately 4:00 pm in regards to a shoplifter. A male party was placed under arrest and returned the stolen items with a value of $30.00 without incident. The male party was trespassed from the property.
Police attended a Cobourg residence in the south west end of town regarding a report of a suspicious person running through driveway. A search was conducted of the area and police were unable to locate anyone. The home owner checked the vehicles in the driveway which all remained secure.
Police located a male party near an east end residence at approximately 7:15pm who was intoxicated. The male party was transported to Northumberland Hills Hospital to receive medical attention and served a Provincial Offences Notice for being intoxicated in a public place.
Tuesday, May 15, 2018:
Police investigated a report of a stolen vehicle from a local business which had occurred sometime overnight. It was reported that the vehicle was locked and the keys were not inside. Investigation is continuing.
Police responded to a call at a local business at approximately 12:00 pm in regards to an assault in progress. Police were able to locate the involved parties and observed a male with visible injuries. After investigation, a female party was arrested and charged with assault, assault with a weapon, and breaching a peace bond.
Police responded to a report of an online fraud where a male party was prompted to enter his credit card information to update his Apple account. The male party complied with the request and a fraudulent transaction in the amount $1978.00 was taken from his account. Investigation is continuing.

Police conducted a traffic enforcement initiative focusing on speeding in various locations throughout the Town of Cobourg. This initiative resulted in 8 charges for speeding, 1 charge for a driver failing to wear their seatbelt, and 11 warnings for various highway traffic act offences.
Police attended a local business at approximately 7:00 pm in regards to a complaint of a male party who appeared to be extremely intoxicated. Police located the male who was subsequently assessed by paramedics and transported to Northumberland Hills Hospital for medical attention. The male party was charged with being intoxicated in a public place contrary to the Liquor License Act.
Police investigated a report of an intrusion alarm at a local business in the west end of Cobourg at approximately 11:50 pm. There were no insecure entrances to the building and everything appeared to be in order. Investigation revealed that cleaning staff had accidentally set off the alarm.

Police responded to a local business on Division Street in Cobourg regarding an intoxicated male. A male party was located and appeared to be intoxicated by alcohol in a form that is not liquor. The male was arrested under the Liquor License Act for being intoxicated in a public place and held until he was sober. He was subsequently issued a Provincial Offences Notice for being intoxicated in a public place.
Police attended a local business in the west end of Cobourg at approximately 9:00 am regarding a report of threats. A female party reported that a male unknown to her uttered threats towards her property. The investigation is ongoing.
Police responded to a report of a 2 vehicle collision that occurred in the west end of Cobourg at approximately 5:00 pm. No parties were injured. An investigation was conducted and one driver was charged with unsafe move under the Highway Traffic Act.

Police attended a local business on Division Street at approximately 9:00 am to respond to an alarm. Investigation revealed that the front door had not been secured properly upon closing. The building was searched and all appeared to be in order.
Police responded to a report of a residential break and enter in the west end of Cobourg at approximately 3:20 pm. The complainant advised police that they believed they had left their door locked when leaving the residence and upon return noticed items of jewelry to be missing. There was no sign of forced entry. Investigation is continuing.
Police attended the area of a residential address in the Town of Cobourg to respond to a report of a suspicious person inside a vehicle outside the residence. Investigation revealed that the male was an employee in the area on legitimate business. There was nothing suspicious noted regarding the person or the vehicle.

Police attended a local establishment at approximately 12:30 am to conduct a walk through. Everything appeared to be in order and no violations were observed.
Police attended Northumberland Hills Hospital after a 911 call was made from this location with music playing and no voice contact. Investigation revealed the call to be an accidental 911 dial and everything was in order.
Police responded to a residence in the downtown area regarding a dispute between two parties over a set of apartment keys. A male party was attempting to retrieve his property from a female party without success. The keys were returned to the male party without incident.

Police attended a residence in the downtown area for a neighbor dispute. One of parties believed that his neighbor threw potatoes into his backyard; this is an ongoing issue between neighbours. No damage to property.
Police responded to the front of the station for a disturb the peace call. Police were advised that a male was punched in the face. Police spoke with the male out front who refused to provide police with any information and refused medical treatment. No suspects.
Police were called to a residence in the east end for a report of two males entering vehicles. Police searched the area with negative results. Some Loose change and pair of sunglasses were taken.
