Northumberland OPP Investigating Serious Collision in Cramahe Township

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is currently investigating a serious collision which occurred northeast of the town of Colborne on Telephone Road.

On Friday morning May 29, 2020 at approximately 4:30 am, police, Cramahe Township Fire Department and Northumberland Paramedics responded to a single vehicle collision on Telephone Road between Trottman Road and Mutton Road.

A white Mazda four door sedan was travelling westbound on Telephone Road when it lost control. The vehicle left the roadway, went into a wooded area, rolled over striking a hydro pole.

The 19 year-old single occupant was taken by paramedics to a local hospital then sent by air ambulance to a Kingston area hospital with serious injuries.

Telephone Road between Trottman Road and Mutton Road was closed in the area of the collision while members of the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigations documented the scene.
