Vehicle Collides With Tow Truck In Cobourg

A driver received non-life threatening injuries after the car he was driving collided with a tow truck in Cobourg on Friday, April 10, 2020.

The collision happened at the intersection of University Avenue and Division Street at approximately 7:20 p.m.

A vehicle was traveling southbound on Division Street when it collided with a flatbed tow-truck traveling eastbound on University Avenue.

Several people assisted the driver of the vehicle until emergency services arrived and he was rushed to hospital. The driver of the tow-truck received minor injuries.

The intersection was cordoned off for OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators, but when the condition of the driver was determined to be non-life threatening, the roadway was re-opened.

No word on charges.
