Investigators are looking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect wanted in this vehicle arson.

After the incident on February 29, 2020, the suspect fled on foot in the residential neighborhood.

The suspect is described as male, black, wearing dark clothing.

Suspect Wanted After a Tow-Truck Arson in Ajax

Police are releasing a photo of a suspect that investigators are trying to identify after a suspicious tow-truck fire in Ajax.

On Saturday, February 29, 2020, at approximately 1:10 p.m., members of West Division responded to a vehicle fire near the intersection of Elizabeth Street and Betts Road. Officers arrived to find a Chevrolet tow-truck fully engulfed in flames. The fire was extinguished by Ajax Fire and Emergency Services. There were no reported injuries.

Investigators are treating this as an arson.

The suspect is described as male, black, wearing dark clothing.
