Members from the Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently investigating two residential properties that were entered resulting in property being reported as stolen.
On April 30, 2019 a break and enter to a residential property on County Road 30 was reported to police. The owners who had been away on vacation returned to find doors to the garage and the main entrance to the home had been forced open. Items reported missing includes the following:
Navy blue canvas tool caddy filled with a set of 30 Master Craft screwdrivers, and various other hand tools
An ATV helmet
GMax snowmobile helmet
A box of miscellaneous types of alcohol.
On May 2, 2019 three Norco mountain bikes were reported stolen from an unlocked garage of a residence on Danforth Road in Alnwick-Haldimand Township. The theft occurred between May 1 2019 at 9:00 pm and May 2, 2019 at 7:00 am. The stolen bikes are described as all being medium framed Norco mountain bikes. One being grey in colour, another bike is black with orange highlights, and the third bike is a light purple.
The Northumberland OPP is asking for the public’s assistance with these ongoing investigation and would ask that anyone with inf ormation to call their nearest OPP detachment.
