The Township of Hamilton has announced the candidates who have been acclaimed to office and certified to appear on the ballot for the 2026 Municipal and School Board Election.
Following the close of Nomination Day on Friday, August 21, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. Municipal Clerk, Daphne Livingstone, reviewed and certified the nomination papers received for the offices of Mayor, Deputy Mayor, and Councillor. The following persons filed all necessary papers, declarations, and fees for the following offices in accordance with the Municipal Elections Act, 1996:

2026 Municipal and School Board Election Information
The 2026 Municipal and School Board Election occurs in Ontario on Monday, October 26, 2026. Voting begins October Friday, October 16 and closes on Monday, October 26, 2026 at 8:00 p.m. Eligible electors will be able to vote using secure internet and telephone voting. Voter Assistance Centres will be hosted during the voting period where residents may bring their Voter Instruction Letter and cast their ballot with staff support.
Your Voter Instruction Letter will arrive to you in the mail several weeks prior to the beginning of the voting period. Your Voter Information Letter contains important information on the election process, including your Personal Identification Number (PIN), the web address to access the voting portal and the telephone number to vote by phone, as well as other important information related to the election.
