Belleville Police – Incidents Include Indecent Acts, Assault Charge, Impaired Charge

Indecent Acts
On July 28, 2026, at 4:52 p.m., Belleville Police responded to the area of Station Street and Emily Street following a report of an indecent act.

A female reported that a male had exposed himself to her and another female. Both females left the area immediately.

Through investigation, officers were able to identify a suspect.

As a result, a 70-year-old Belleville man was located, arrested and charged with:

· Indecent acts – public place

He was held for a bail hearing.

The Belleville Police Service is seeking to speak with the second female involved in this incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Belleville Police Service at 613-966-0882.

Assault Charge
On July 28, 2026, at 6:35 p.m., Belleville Police responded to a park in the city’s east end following a report of an assault.

It was reported that a verbal altercation had occurred between a male and a group of youths, which escalated when the male grabbed one of the youths, threw him to the ground, and kicked him.

As a result of the investigation, Francesco Galizia, a 20-year-old Belleville man, was located, arrested and charged with:

· Assault

He was released on an Undertaking with a court date in October.

Intimate Partner Violence
On July 29, 2026, at 2:48 a.m., Belleville Police on general patrol in the area of Front Street observed a male and female involved in a verbal altercation.

Officers spoke with both parties, and it was reported that during the dispute, the male lifted the female and made threatening comments.

As a result of the investigation, a 23-year-old Belleville man was arrested and charged with:

· Assault – spousal

He was released on an Undertaking with a court date in September.

Impaired Charge
On July 28, 2026, at 2:23 p.m., Belleville Police responded to the city’s east end regarding a report of a suspected impaired driver.

Officers located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop. Upon speaking with the female driver, officers observed signs of impairment.

As a result of the investigation, Ashley Ali, a 39-year-old Belleville woman, was arrested and charged with:

· Operation while impaired – alcohol

· Operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80 mg.

She was released on an Undertaking with a court date in September.
