Rhinovirus Outbreak Declared Over at Golden Plough Lodge

Golden Plough Lodge has announced that the Rhinovirus outbreak at the long-term care home has officially been declared over.

In a notice issued Tuesday, July 29, 2026, the Lakelands Public Health Unit confirmed the outbreak has ended.

“We are pleased to announce that the Rhinovirus outbreak at Golden Plough Lodge was declared over by the Lakelands Public Health Unit today,” the notice stated.

The Outbreak Management Team thanked residents, families, friends, and staff for their patience and cooperation throughout the outbreak, as well as their continued adherence to infection prevention and control measures.

The outbreak officially ended on July 29, 2026.
