NHH Foundation Announces Plan to Launch a Catch the Ace Progressive Lottery

In Local

The Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) Foundation will boldly go where they haven’t yet gone before.

The Foundation has announced its plan to introduce its first-ever Catch the Ace progressive lottery program with tickets available to purchase online starting Thursday June 20, 2024.

Catch the Ace programs have proven successful in other communities across the country raising millions of dollars in support of a variety of organizations. In January, Canada’s largest ever jackpot of $8.2 million was won by a couple from Beresford, New Brunswick.

“We’re excited to bring a fun new way of fundraising to west Northumberland. Playing the NHH Catch the Ace is a way to not only possibly win something for yourself, but to support our local hospital while doing it,” shares Megan Fluxgold, Community Engagement & Events Specialist.

In Catch the Ace, the winner must select the card containing the Ace of Spades to claim the progressive jackpot.

One ticket will be selected each week until the winning card is revealed.  If your name is drawn and your selected card does not contain the Ace of Spaces, you will win the weekly consolation prize.

The pot grows each week until a lucky winner is crowned.

But to win, you must purchase a ticket. The more tickets sold, the higher the prize values. Tickets are only available online at www.nhhcatchtheace.ca and can be purchased by Interac, Mastercard Debit, Visa Debit, Visa, or Mastercard.

From each ticket sale, 50% of the value is directed to the NHH Foundation, 30% to the prize pot, and 20% of sales goes to the consolation winner.
