Northumberland OPP – Arrest Made in Recent Theft of Scrap Metal (Name Released)

The Northumberland Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have made an arrest in relation to a number of incidents of theft.

On May 16, 2024, at approximately 2:20 p.m., officers received a call advising that a number of incidents of theft of scrap metal had occurred at a business on Trent Drive in Campbellford. The complainant advised that an individual had been on their property several times in just over a week while the business was closed.

OPP began an investigation and as a result, arrested an individual on May 26, 2024.

Mark BRENNAN, 40-years-old, from Warkworth, has been charged with:

–     Theft under $5,000.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
