Traffic Safety Reminder
Officers are reminding motorists that highway on-ramps and off-ramps are one-way only. Drivers must never travel in the opposite direction to avoid traffic delays or closures.
Driving the wrong way on a ramp is illegal and creates a significant risk of head-on collisions. If you encounter a closure or miss your intended exit, continue driving safely and follow detour signage or directions from emergency personnel. Police will assist motorists when required-do not take matters into your own hands.
If you observe a vehicle travelling the wrong way, slow down, move to a safe lane, and contact police immediately.
