Four Individuals Arrested Over the Weekend on Outstanding Warrants
Police arrested four individuals on outstanding warrants during separate incidents over the weekend.
On September 4, 2026, at approximately 6:45 p.m., police responded to a report of unwanted individuals in the area of Albert Street and 2nd Street. Officers attended and identified one individual who was wanted on an outstanding warrant for two counts of Fail to Comply with Probation. The 30-year-old Cobourg woman was arrested and later released on an undertaking with a future court date.
On September 5, 2026, at approximately 12:45 a.m., officers on general patrol on Division Street observed an individual wanted on an outstanding warrant held by another police service. The individual was arrested on the strength of the warrant. During a search incident to arrest, officers located approximately two grams of suspected fentanyl. The 36-year-old Cobourg resident was charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance, released on an undertaking with a future court date, and subsequently turned over to the other police service.
Later that morning, at approximately 3:30 a.m., officers on general patrol on King Street West located an individual wanted on an outstanding warrant for Fail to Comply with Probation. The 52-year-old Cobourg resident was arrested and released on an undertaking with a future court date.
On September 7, 2026, at approximately 11:45 a.m., police arrested a 35-year-old Cobourg man on an outstanding warrant for Theft Under $5,000 after a neighbouring police service notified them that the individual was in their custody. The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.

Youth Charged with Robbery and Violence
A youth is facing charges following a robbery investigation.
On September 5, 2026, at approximately 7:30 p.m., police received a report of an assault. Through the investigation, officers learned that a 16-year-old youth allegedly demanded personal property from another youth. After the victim complied, additional property was demanded and when the victim attempted to leave they were allegedly struck in the face, resulting in minor injuries.
As a result of the investigation, a 16-year-old youth has been charged with Robbery with Violence. The accused was released on an undertaking with conditions and a future court date.
On September 7, 2026, police determined that the youth had allegedly breached the conditions of the undertaking. The youth was arrested and charged with Fail to Comply with Undertaking. The accused was held for a bail hearing and subsequently released on recognizance with conditions.
Colborne Man Charged with Break and Enter
A 24-year-old Colborne man faces multiple charges after a break-and-enter investigation.
On September 7, 2026, at approximately 2:15 a.m., police responded to multiple 911 calls reporting an assault in the area of Margaret Street and King Street in Cobourg.
Through the investigation, officers learned that a man had returned to a residence where he had previously been staying. After being denied entry, he allegedly forced his way into the residence, causing damage to the property, and became involved in an altercation with two individuals inside.
As a result of the investigation, police arrested the man. During the arrest, police located a prohibited knife. Connor Hogg (24) was charged with Break and Enter to Commit an Indictable Offence, Fail to Comply with Probation, Possession of a Prohibited Weapon, and Failure to Comply with a Weapons Prohibition Order.
The accused was held for a bail hearing and was subsequently released on a release order to a surety with conditions and a future court date.
Cobourg Man Facing Charges
A 54-year-old Cobourg man is facing charges after officers observed a shoplifting incident in progress.
On September 7, 2026, at approximately 1:30 p.m., officers on general patrol in the area of King Street West observed a male fleeing on foot while being pursued by employees of a nearby business.
Through the investigation, officers learned the individual had allegedly stolen alcohol from the store. Following a brief foot pursuit, officers arrested the suspect without incident.
A 54-year-old Cobourg man has been charged with Theft Under $5,000 and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000. The accused was released on an undertaking with a future court date.
