Durham Regional Police – Five Arrested After Armed Robbery at Oshawa Centre (Names Released)

Three adult males and two youth are in custody after an armed robbery at a jewelry store in the Oshawa Centre.

On Sunday, March 29, 2026, at approximately 3:45 p.m., members of Central East Division responded to a robbery call at the Bellagio Jewellers II located in the Oshawa Centre at 419 King Street West. Four males entered the jewelry store and deployed bear spray while smashing display cases. A fifth suspect remained in a waiting vehicle.

The suspects attempted to flee the mall prior to police arrival. Two suspects were apprehended inside the mall. The remaining suspects fled in a waiting vehicle and were subsequently involved in a minor collision at Stevenson Road North and King Street West.

After the collision, the suspects fled the vehicle on foot but were taken into custody with the assistance of the DRPS K-9 Unit.

Minor injuries were reported and treated at the scene due to the bear spray. Oshawa fire attended the mall to assist with ventilation from any exposure.

Romario ABRAHAM, age 18 from Mississauga is charged with: Robbery, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence, and Leave Scene of Accident.

Coulton PETERS-MCCOMB, age 22 from Barrie is charged with: Robbery, Possession of Prohibited Weapon, Disguise with Intent, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence, and Possession of a Schedule I Substance x4.

Ryan MACPHAIL, age 40 of No Fixed Address is charged with: Robbery, Disguise with Intent, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, Conspiracy to Commit Indictable Offence, and Fail to Comply with Probation x2.

At the time of his arrest MACPHAIL was already on weapons prohibition conditions.

A 15-year-old male from Mississauga is charged with: Robbery, Disguise with Intent, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000, Conspiracy to Commit an Indictable Offence, and Administer Noxious Substance.

A 17-year-old male from Brampton is charged with: Robbery, Disguise with Intent, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime $5000, and Conspiracy to Commit and Indictable Offence.

All were held for a bail hearing.
