City of Belleville Approves 2026 Rates and Fees, Effective Jan. 1

In City Hall, Local

Belleville City Council has approved updates to municipal rates and fees including those for Community Services, Waste Management, Transit and Water at its meeting on Monday, Dec. 8, 2025.

At the same meeting, Council passed By-law 2025-195, which adopts the full schedule of fees and charges that will take effect Jan. 1, 2026.

The Consolidated Fees and Charges By-law sets the amounts the City charges for specific services.

Fees are reviewed annually to support reasonable cost recovery and to remain comparable with other municipalities, helping maintain a fair balance between user fees and property tax funding.

Residents can view the full 2026 schedule at Belleville.ca/RatesAndFees, which is updated throughout the year as amendments are approved.

For the most current information or service-specific questions, residents are encouraged to contact the department responsible for the service.
