The Town of Cobourg would like to remind all residents that winter parking bylaws will take effect as of November 1, 2025, to ensure safe and efficient snow removal operations during the winter season.
It is especially important that collector and arterial roads (major roads) remain clear for safe passage.
The Town of Cobourg Parking Bylaw 048-2023 states that no person shall park a vehicle on designated collector and arterial roads between November 1 and March 31, which is the winter parking season, between the hours of 2 a.m. and 7 a.m. The bylaw states that no person shall park a vehicle that obstructs the removal of snow from the streets (15(1)(a)).
For a list of streets that you cannot park on overnight, please see the Town of Cobourg Winter Parking Map or view the online interactive map. The bylaw also states no parking at any time, on all cul-de-sacs and wide corners during the winter season.
For more information and a list of affected cul-de-sacs and wide corners refer to Bylaw Number 048-2023, Schedule N. For the winter months there is no parking on Havelock Lane, Balls Lane, Park Lane, Jex Lane, Caddy Drive, John Fairhurst and New Amherst lay-by’s.
