Port Hope Police – Incidents Include Gores Landing Man Charged with Impaired, Wanted Man Arrested (No Names Released)

Driver Charged with Impaired After Failing to Stop for Police
In the early morning hours of October 20th, 2025, Port Hope Police observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed on Rose Glen Road. The driver failed to stop at an intersection before being stopped on Peter Street.

A 20-year-old male from the Gores Landing area was arrested and found to be impaired by alcohol.
He was released on an undertaking and charged with:

Impaired operation

Operation while over 80

Dangerous driving

Novice driver – BAC above zero

Stunt driving – excessive speed

Failing to stop at a stop sign

Port Hope Police remind drivers to make safe choices and never drive impaired.

 

Wanted Male Arrested in Port Hope
On October 18th, 2025, Port Hope Police responded to a complaint involving an ATV being driven in the area of Austin Court. Officers located a 47-year-old male from Nova Scotia at the scene.

Further investigation revealed the male was wanted by Port Hope Police and several other police services.

He was arrested on the strength of outstanding warrants and held for a bail hearing on October 19th, 2025.
