Five Incidents of Persons Suffering the Effects of Bear Spray in Cobourg

Emergency services in Cobourg have responded to five incidents of people suffering the effects of being sprayed with bear spray.

The incidents were first reported on Sunday and as of Tuesday, there have been a total of five incidents of “possible bear spray.”

Persons who were effected by the bear spray were taken to hospital for treatment.

Most of the incidents occurred in the area of the downtown.

At each incident members of the Cobourg Police, Northumberland County Paramedics and Cobourg Fire Department attended.

Cobourg Police issued a release on one person being charged, but have yet to provide any other information on the other four incidents.
