Belleville Police – Incidents Include Assault, Warrant Arrest

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 91 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on July 24, 2025 to 5:00 am on July 25, 2025.

Assault
On the 24th of July, 2025 at 11:00am, Belleville Police were called to a Sidney Street apartment building regarding an assault.

Officers arrived on scene and located a male who was awake, but bleeding from lacerations to his head. In addition, officers learned the victim had lost consciousness at one point and had to be transported to the hospital where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

It was learned that the suspect also lived in the building.

The suspect was located and arrested.

The 36-year-old Belleville resident was charged with assault causing bodily harm and was held for a bail hearing on the 25th of July 2025

Warrant arrest
On the 25th of July, 2025 at 12:15am, Belleville Police were called to a Church Street address regarding a male who was causing a disturbance outside.

Officers arrived on scene and learned that the male was wanted on two outstanding warrants for charges of assaulting a Peace Officer and failing to attend court.

Philip Larson, 57, was arrested on the warrants and held for a bail hearing on the 25th of July 2025.
