Changes to Curbside Collection in Belleville Take Effect Next Week

In Local

Starting next week, residents may have a new collection day for their curbside garbage, recycling and organics.

These changes are part of the province-wide transition to producer-responsibility residential recycling collection announced earlier this year that would see Circular Materials take over the implementation and transition to the new recycling system in Ontario.

Circular Materials has contracted E360 Solutions to provide curbside recycling collection in Belleville. To streamline service, E360 Solutions updated their collection zones to ensure each households’ garbage, recycling and organics will be collected on the same day each week. This resulted in some changes to overall collection dates starting the week of July 21.

Residents who haven’t already found their new collection date, are encouraged to find it using the curbside waste collection map.

This change will not impact acceptable materials or sorting throughout the transition period and residents should continue to put their blue bins to the curb by 7 a.m. on their new pick-up date.

The City of Belleville will continue to oversee garbage and organics collection, and any related concerns can continue to be reported using our online report-an-issue form.

Any recycling-related issues moving forward should be directed to E360 Solutions at customerservice-eastont@e360s.ca or 613-392-7107 (e.g. missed collection, damaged bins or questions regarding collection).
