Belleville Police – Woman Gets Her Wish to Be Arrested

In Police Blotter

On the 23rd of June at 10:18pm, Belleville Police received a request to attend a hotel on North Front St. regarding an unwanted person.

Upon their arrival, police spoke to a 29-year-old female of no fixed address.

The female advised that she was staying with a friend but was unable to recall her friend’s name or room number.

Police verified with hotel staff that the female was not associated with any hotel room or registered guest.

When police directed the female to leave the property she refused and demanded to be arrested.

As a result, the female was arrested under the Trespass to Property Act and transported to the Belleville Police.

She was later released unconditionally.
