Belleville Police – Incidents Include Causing Disturbance, Intoxicated Person, Impaired Charge, Drug Arrests (Names Released)

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 324 calls for service between 5:00 am on June 6, 2025 to 5:00 am on June 9, 2025.

Breach of release conditions
On the 5th of June, the Belleville Police Service received information from a female that an ex-partner was breaching his release conditions by contacting and attending her residence.

As a result of the investigation, a 40-year-old Belleville man was arrested on June 6th for failing to comply with a Release Order.

The male was held for a bail hearing.

Causing a disturbance leads to man’s arrest
On the 7th of June at 1:05pm, during a public event at Zwicks Park, officers were alerted to a male causing a disturbance and yelling profanities.

During their investigation, officers learned that the male had also illegally accessed someone’s electricity.

The suspect became confrontational with police and was ultimately taken into custody.

Facing charges including theft of electricity, causing a disturbance and resisting arrest is 43-year-old Ryan Macdonald of no fixed address.

Macdonald was released from custody on an Undertaking with a court date in July.

Intoxicated female arrested for her own safety
On the 7th of June at 11:30pm, a concerned citizen noticed a female who appeared intoxicated and was walking precariously close to the water behind the stores on Front St. Officers attended the area and located the female exiting the water.

She advised that she wanted to go swimming.

Following their interaction with the female, police formed the belief that she was intoxicated from the consumption of alcohol.

As a result, the 36-year-old female of no fixed address was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place.

She remained in police custody until sober and then released with a Provincial Offence Notice.

Belleville Man Charged with Impaired

Call from concerned citizen regarding possible impaired driver leads to arrest of Belleville man

On the 8th of June at 6:50pm, the Belleville Police Service received a call from a concerned citizen reporting a possible impaired driver in the city’s north-end.

Officers located the vehicle and identified the driver, who showed signs of impairment from the consumption of alcohol.

The male driver provided a sample of breath into an approved screening device which registered a fail.

As a result, 31-year-old Aaron Blakely of Belleville was arrested for operation while impaired and transported to the Belleville Police Service for further testing, where two more tests were conducted registering blood alcohol levels of twice the legal limit.

Blakely was charged with operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration 80 plus.

He was released on an Undertaking with a court date in July and his licence was suspended for 90 days.

Project Renewal – Drug Arrests
On the 5th of June, as a result of a Drug Trafficking investigation in the City of Belleville, members of Project Renewal executed a Controlled Drugs and Substance Act search warrant in Belleville’s east end with the assistance of the Belleville Police K9 and Emergency Response Unit.
Police Seized:
· 27.1 grams Cocaine
· 3.2 grams Crystal Methamphetamine
· 3 Cell Phones
· Electronic Taser
· $1090.00 Canadian Currency

As a result of the police investigation, the following persons were arrested and charged.

Robert BALDWIN 62-years-old of Deseronto was charged with the following offences:
1. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine – Sec 5(2) CDSA
2. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking-Methamphetamine-Sec 5(2) CDSA
3. Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime, Under $5000-in Canada Sec 354(1)(a) Criminal Code

David ALDERDICE 63-years-old of Belleville was charged with the following offences:
1. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine – Sec 5(2) CDSA
2. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking-Methamphetamine-Sec 5(2) CDSA
3. Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime, Under $5000-in Canada Sec 354(1)(a) Criminal Code

Larry WHITE 54-years-old of Belleville was charged with the following offences:
1. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine – Sec 5(2) CDSA
2. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking-Methamphetamine-Sec 5(2) CDSA
3. Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime, Under $5000-in Canada Sec 354(1)(a) Criminal Code

Karen HOLLEY 49-years-old of Belleville was charged with the following offences:
1. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine – Sec 5(2) CDSA
2. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking-Methamphetamine-Sec 5(2) CDSA
3. Possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime, Under $5000-in Canada Sec 354(1)(a) Criminal Code

Kathleen ARSMTRONG 73-years-old of Belleville was charged with the following offences:
1. Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – Cocaine – Sec 5(2) CDSA

All of the charged persons were released on an Undertaking with a future court date.
