Video – Pergola Torn Down on West End of Promenade in Cobourg Due to Safety Concerns

In Local

As time marches on, crews tore down the pergola on the west end of the promenade by Victoria Beach in Cobourg on Wednesday, June 4, 2025.

The pergola dates back to the early 1990’s, but with structural issues it is beyond repair.

Council was made aware of the state of the pergola during 2025 budget deliberations. A replacement was not included in the 2025 budget.
