Members of the City of Kawartha Lakes Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) attended a single motor vehicle collision that saw one person transported to a Toronto Area Trauma Center with serious injuries.
On May 10, 2025, at approximately 5:09 a.m., officers were notified of a single motor vehicle collision on Glenarm Road East of Hartley Road. Upon officers arriving, the loan occupant/driver of the motor vehicle was located and had sustained significant injuries. Kawartha Lakes Paramedics and Ornge Helicopter were dispatched. The 34-year-old driver, of Burnt River, was transported to a Toronto Area Trauma Center and is believed to be in stable condition.
Glenarm Road remained closed while members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management team (TIME) attended and conducted a thorough investigation.
Glenarm Road has since been reopened.
