Bit of a Mystery After School Bus Spotted in the Ditch in Hamilton Township

In Local, Police Blotter

A bit of a mystery after a school bus was spotted in the ditch in Hamilton Township on Thursday, January 16, 2025.

A photo was sent to Today’s Northumberland of the bus in the ditch on Theatre Road north of County Road 2 at approximately 3 p.m.

The bus appeared to be blocking most of Theatre Road.

Today’s Northumberland reached out to the bus company on Friday for more information including what time the incident happened and whether any students were on the bus.

No one from the company has returned the e-mail sent.

Checking with Northumberland OPP they were advised the school bus was in the ditch at 9:15 p.m. and there was no one around it. When officers arrived the school bus had been removed from the ditch.
