Belleville Police Service – Fail to Comply with Release

Total calls for service – Belleville Police responded to 69 calls for service over a 24-hour period beginning at 5:00 am on January 15, 2025 to 5:00 am on January 16, 2025.

Fail to comply with Release Order
On the 15th of January at 8:10pm, police were contacted regarding a male who was not complying with his court ordered release conditions. During their investigation, police learned that the 36-year-old Belleville man had been released from custody just hours earlier. The male was to reside with his surety and remain inside his residence. Police located the male at a residence in the city’s east end. The male was in the company of a female who he was on conditions not to be around. As a result of the investigation, the Belleville man was arrested and charged with two counts of failing to comply with his Release Order. He was held in custody.

Police requesting residents review any security cameras near Parkdale Dr. regarding suspicious persons
On the 16th of January at 2:03am, police responded to a residence on Parkdale Dr. near Sidney St. regarding an attempted break and enter to a garage. Upon their arrival, police learned that an alarm had deterred the break and enter and alerted the homeowners. Police located several footprints in neighbouring yards as it appears the suspects were checking several locations. Police are requesting residents in the area of Parkdale Dr, Poplar St, Glendale Rd and Lemoine St review any security video between 1:30am – 2:30am on the 16th of January for any persons on foot in the area.
