ECE License Granted to 310 Division Street Last Friday But Building Remains Closed

In Local

A license under the Emergency Care Establishment by-law has been granted to Northumberland County for 310 Division Street, but the building is still empty.

The license was authorized by the Town of Cobourg on Friday, November 8, 2024 but as of Tuesday, November 12, 2024 it’s believed no one is either occupying or using the space as a warming room.

Today’s Northumberland reached out to members of Northumberland County for comment but have yet to hear back by press time.

With the license being granted by the Town of Cobourg on Friday, it’s unknown why 310 Division Street (warming room) wasn’t in use over the weekend and/or if the hotel program is continuing and at what cost, and lastly when it will open.

Today’s Northumberland will provide an update when it becomes available.
