Video – Emergency Services Search for Missing Woman on Cobourg Pier

Emergency services were dispatched to the east pier in Cobourg shortly after midnight on June 22, 2024 for a report of a missing person who may have fallen into Lake Ontario.

Cobourg Police, Northumberland County Paramedics, the Canadian Coast Guard and Cobourg Fire Department were dispatched to the area of the east pier to search the area for the missing woman.

The woman was with her friends and decided to walk along the east pier.

When the woman didn’t return, her friends started looking for her.

Soon after they called 9-1-1 to report she may have fallen into the water.

While searching the beach, pier and waters around the pier for approximately 30-minutes, emergency services were informed the woman was located safe in a nearby drinking establishment.
