Golfer Airlifted After Cart Rolls Over in Alnwick/Haldimand Township

A person was airlifted from the scene after a golf cart flipped over in Alnwick/Haldimand Township on June 8, 2024.

At approximately 4:20 p.m. Alnwick/Haldimand Township Fire Department was dispatched to a golf course on Shelter Valley Road for a person that was injured after a golf cart flipped over.

Alnwick/Haldimand Township Fire Department District Chief Rick Nelson said when fire crews arrived a person, approximately 28-years-old was laying on the cart path injured.

There were two people in the cart going down a hill when the cart flipped over. One person was uninjured, but when the cart rolled it may have run over the person.

An air ambulance landed nearby and the victim was transported to a Toronto trauma centre with possible life altering injuries.

Northumberland OPP are investigating.
