Cobourg Police – Cobourg Woman Charged with Assault with a Weapon and Uttering Threats (Name Released)

A 35-year-old Cobourg woman has been arrested and charged with assault with a weapon following an interaction early Friday morning.

On Friday, May 24th, 2024, at approximately 2:50 a.m., police responded to a call for an assault at the encampment in Cobourg.

It was reported that a verbal altercation between two individuals escalated, and one individual was held down and threatened with a knife. No injuries were sustained during the incident. Police recovered the knife.

As a result of the investigation, Tiffany Palfrey, a 35-year-old Cobourg woman, was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, utter threats to cause death, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

The accused was released with strict conditions, with a future court date in July 2024.
