The young thespians at Cobourg Collegiate Institute invite you to an evening of comedy, as only Neil Simon can write it, with their production of Rumors on April 18 and 19.

Teacher (and show director) Johnathan Muench described this year’s Spring Production in the school’s Great Hall as a popular Neil Simon comedy that – like so many of his shows – takes place in New York. As guests and long-time friends begin to arrive at an elegant dinner party, they find themselves at the centre of a scandal and are faced with many questions.

“What do you get when you take a missing Deputy Mayor of NYC, cross it with a mysterious note, a revolver, an eerily empty mansion, and leave your high-status guests to piece it all together?” Muench asked.

“No, this isn’t Clue, but quirky chaos is bound to ensue!”

Members of the community are invited to enjoy the students, staff and family members who will be there to cheer these young players on at this special CCI production.

CCI is located at 335 King St. E., and show time both nights is 7 p.m. (with doors open at 6 p.m.).

Tickets are $15, available at the door or in advance through School Cash Online (https://kprdsb.schoolcashonline.com/Fee/Details/71400/100/False/True)
