Town of Cobourg Flags at Half-Staff for Firefighters’ National Memorial Day

In Local

The Town of Cobourg would like to advise residents that flags across all municipal buildings will be at half-staff on Sunday, September 10 in honour of Firefighters’ National Memorial Day.

The Government of Canada established Firefighters’ National Memorial Day as a tribute to the firefighters who risk their lives to keep Canadians safe. The second Sunday in September of each year is now designated in memory of firefighters who have fallen in the line of duty.

The Canadian flag will be at half-staff on all federal buildings and establishments and across all Town of Cobourg municipal buildings. Flags will return on Monday, September 11.
